Description

A Compact Wood-Fired Teapot with Refined Proportions

This handmade katade-style mini teapot is a kiln-highlight piece from You Shanzi’s 28-Yaki wood firing.
The form is carefully hand-pinched, resulting in harmonious proportions that feel balanced and pleasing in the hand.

The body displays a natural purple-red kiln transformation, vivid yet elegant, created entirely by flame, ash, and time.
The small size allows excellent control of brewing and pouring, making it especially suitable for single-origin oolong teas such as Dancong and Yancha.

Symbolic Details & Excellent Pouring Performance

The lid is finished with a hand-pinched chrysanthemum motif, traditionally symbolizing integrity, restraint, and quiet strength — a subtle reference to the Junzi (gentleman) spirit in tea culture.

Despite its compact size, this teapot offers:

  • Clean, precise pouring with excellent cut-off

  • A well-calibrated flow rate

  • Comfortable handling for 1–2 people

High-quality clay with strong breathability ensures broad tea compatibility, allowing aromas and flavors to fully open during brewing.
