This hand-pinched Shino Slip Wood-Fired Tall Teacup, crafted by You Shanzi, is a standout piece from the 28-Kiln Sixth Firing. Multiple types of high-quality Jingdezhen raw clays were kneaded together, creating a lively marbled base clay known for stability and tea suitability.
The cup is coated with a thin white shino slip, giving it an elegant and airy aesthetic. The smooth transparent glaze further accentuates the natural warmth of the clay body. Inside, golden kiln variations echo between the walls and the base—vivid, spirited, and naturally formed in the wood-firing atmosphere.
The exterior gently reveals woven-like textures, adding visual depth without overpowering the clean silhouette. Its tall cylindrical form enhances aroma concentration, making it ideal for oolong, raw puerh, and other fragrant teas.
